The veteran actor will essay the character of the dreaded don. He does a good job of being bad, after all – remember Agneepath?
Director Nikhil Advani’s animation flick Delhi Safari hits the theatres today, but he is already busy working on his next, a new one called D-Day. From what we have heard so far, the film is about RAW agents on a mission. D-Day stars Arjun Rampal, Irrfan, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Huma Qureshi. The details of the film are still under wraps, but we hear that Irrfan has done a brilliant job – what we expect from him anyway. A birdie from the sets informed us that the talented actor elevates a mediocre scene into a great one just with his acting. But he latest news on D-Day is that Rishi Kapoor will be playing the role of dreaded don Dawood Ibrahim. It seems that Rishi’s chilling performance as Rauf Lala in Karan Malhotra’s Agneepath prompted Advani to cast him in this challenging role. And the veteran actor is sinking his teeth into this meaty role with gusto and great appetite. In an interview, he said, “I never thought actors my age would get so much work. I was never so busy as an actor in my younger days as I am today.”
We can’t wait to watch RK Sr’s shenanigans on the big screen as the new face of terror! And you?
